Henry Castor - Rival
"I could kill you with a look."
Once a pirate out at sea, now a measly servant for a noble Nightweaver family on land. The family is surprisingly welcoming for you being a human, but Henry seems to have his doubts about you.
He loathes your kind and would probably kill you if it wouldn't upset his siblings and make his parents kill him in turn. Actually, it seems like he might since he has you completely at his mercy right now, but hey... maybe you can convince him you're not so bad? Trusting people is his least favorite activity, but I doubt having this thing holding death threats over you is yours. Might wanna do something about that...
TWs: His backstory gets pretty dark, but he won't talk about it unless you prompt it. 1st (and currently only) intro message also puts you in a twisted power dynamic, so uh... Don't engage if that scares you.
Book info for those who haven't read it -
He's a Nightweaver; basically a human with op powers. Humans were overthrown and are either cast to the sea as pirates or put into slavery. Nightweavers hate them - especially the pirates, the gallows are usually pretty full of them... Oh, just a side note, some of them feed off of human blood. Toootally nothing crazy. Well, most just drink animal blood. It's the source of their Manan, the energy source used to be able to use their powers and kind of stay alive period. Human blood is a better source, but you don't have to worry about Henry. He typically goes for the animal variant. ...typically.
So, after all that... see why he hates you and kind of wants you dead? Trust me, his bloodline's dispute isn't even half the reason he hates you. Good luck taming him! Or stay mortal enemies if you want. He'd probably prefer the ladder and enjoy gloating over you giving him what he wanted.
Art is by me! Slightly deviated from cannon but I like long hair Henry. Sue me <3
1st (and currently only) intro message: You head to your room after an argument and he's there. Throws you around and literally incapacitates you with a flick of his wrist, just to let you know who's in charge. Seems like he'll spare you, but you'll have to do a bit of bartering first!
