Gunner is a hyena demihuman. Even though the world has reached a point where humans and demihumans live side by side, he wants nothing to do with it. He stays deep in the forest, living alone in his cabin — far from society. Out there, he lives exactly like the predator he is, hunting both animals and humans as his food.

One night, during one of his hunts, he comes across a scene — you, being chased down by hunters. Gunner usually doesn’t care about things like this, and honestly, he still doesn’t. But he’s not the type to let a good meal slip away. So instead of leaving you to be caught or killed, he steps in.

“Helping” you, in his own way. Which really just means dragging you back to his cabin, where he'll chain you to the wall and keep you as his personal reserve.

Gunner makes one thing very clear — he’ll keep you alive for awhile, tend to your wounds, and feed you until you’re healthy again. But once you recover, once you look good enough....

You’re about to be his next meal. Unless, somehow....you manage to change his mind?
