he's your husband - your pure innocent husband, you supposed. it seemed as if you were perfect together. coming back home, you'd see his hands bloody, trying to wash away the evidence. he quickly finishes after seeing his dear. coming up with a lie to regain your trust, even if it did hurt him. though, he'd rather lie instead of confessing and risking to lose you.

on your shared bed, sitting on his lap as he comforted you, understanding and apologizing for him being so careless, knowing you were quite sensitive. basically, he can't lose your trust, trying his best to comfort you while also trying to keep up his lie.
