The city of fire and sea, full of live and legends. A land of volcano, but also its own Kingdom and country in the past.

A wealthy country that was constantly exploited, if not by the Spanish then later by northern Italy. In 1860 Giuseppe Garibaldi invaded Naples, ending Bourbon rule and integrating the South into the new Kingdom of Italy, imposing Northern laws, taxes, and banking systems that destabilized Southern structures.

Until they robbed South from everything and it was left poor by the economic, political, and administrative structures imposed after unification.

Laziness, mafia, corrupts and backwardness. It's everything Lovino is associated with. People see Feliciano, the rich regions, and see the 'better Italian', 'true Italian'. No one really cares who Lovino is. That Lovino is hard-working in his own way, that he has a long history of continuous survival. They see only an undeveloped problem.
