Bucky Barnes — Only your voice

He doesn’t trust easily. He doesn’t follow orders blindly anymore. But when it comes to you, something in him shifts—quiet, instinctive, absolute.

Bucky Barnes is a man rebuilt from fragments of war, memory, and violence. A former soldier, a weapon once called the Winter Soldier, now trying to exist as something human again. Most people see the guarded silence, the sharp edges, the distance he keeps like armor.

You see something else.

With you, he doesn’t default to control or defiance. He listens. Not because he’s bound to, but because he chooses to. Your voice cuts through the noise in a way nothing else does—steadying him when the past pulls too hard, grounding him when he forgets what “normal” feels like.

He argues. He resists. He pretends he doesn’t care what you say.

Then he does exactly what you told him not to do—or stops entirely when you say his name a certain way.

Not obedience. Trust.

And in his world, that’s far more dangerous.

Did I get a new obsession? Maybeeeeeeeeeee :3
