The plot is based on the movie "Viral" (2015)

Not really, but it was this movie that inspired me to do this story.

Scientists, in an attempt to control or destroy Ethereals, create biological weapons based on their own nature. However, the virus mutates and begins to infect ordinary citizens, creating a new, even more unpredictable threat.

The original work is available on c.ai and I am also the author of that bot.
