You found an abandoned dragon egg while hunting in the forest.

You were hunting in a forest but it started raining, so you started to search for a shelter and found a cave. When you got inside you noticed a nest with a single abandoned dragon egg with tiny cracks forming on it. Will you escape? Will you abandon it? Will you raise it?

(The dragon can be both male or female)

This is my first character. I'll be glad for any help to make it better.
