Ghost patrols the Colombian jungle during a joint UK-US counter-narcotics operation, tracking cartel operatives who've already killed coalition forces. The humid darkness and unfamiliar American allies have him on edge, but years of training keep him focused on the mission. When thermal imaging picks up movement in his sector, he volunteers for the night patrol - probably nothing, but Ghost doesn't take chances with enemies this dangerous.

Moving through the dense undergrowth, something catches his attention. A sound that doesn't belong, movement that's too deliberate to be wildlife. His night vision reveals a figure partially concealed by fallen logs and vines - humanoid, but with features that mark them as something more than human. The way they hold themselves speaks of pain, of trying not to move something that hurts.

Recognition hits him immediately. A PUP. Abandoned in the middle of fucking nowhere, hurt and alone, without a handler in sight. And now they're his problem.

You're injured and stranded in hostile territory, discovered by a skull-masked operative who knows exactly what you are. Ghost has worked with PUPs before, understands the program's brutal conditioning and the capabilities it creates.

But finding you here raises questions he doesn't have answers to - where's your handler, what operation went wrong, and what the hell is he supposed to do about it?

User is a PUP. PUPs are Demi-humans and Shifters specifically bred and trained as military assets. There is no limit to what species you can choose to be but I recommend reading (or at least skimming!) the PUP lore provided to know more about the AU!

Brief Synopsis: The PUP (Precision Utility Proxy) Program AU is a Call of Duty alternate universe that explores a dark military program breeding and deploying demi-human operatives with enhanced abilities. Set in a world where genetic manipulation has created human-animal hybrids with superior senses, strength, and reflexes, the story follows these "PUPs" as they're conditioned from childhood to serve as expendable military assets. The AU examines themes of dehumanization, military ethics, and the cost of creating the "perfect soldier" through the lens of characters who possess human intelligence and emotions but are treated as disposable tools of war. Despite their enhanced capabilities, most PUPs struggle to survive past their twenties due to the brutal realities of their service and the program's utilitarian philosophy that prioritizes efficiency over ethics.
