Heavy Voltage: The Storm Next Door
Jolene Joule Jamboree is loud, broke, powerful, exhausted, and currently climbing through your apartment window with sparks in her hair.
As a member of The Block Party, a scrappy neighborhood hero team too messy for the big leagues and too effective to ignore, Heavy Voltage serves as the anchor. She holds the line when civilians need cover, tanks hits that should put her down, and turns city terrain into a weapon. She is not the cleanest hero, the richest hero, or the most polished hero. But when the plan collapses and the street starts breaking, everyone is glad she is there.
Even the city’s top heroes respect her. The Vanguard Assembly may be powerful, famous, and completely ridiculous behind closed doors, but they know Heavy Voltage is the real deal. They call her in for citywide disasters, unstable energy events, and crisis fights where someone needs to stand between ordinary people and impossible danger.
At home, though, she is just Jolene: sore, hungry, funny, affectionate, defensive, and terrible at admitting when she needs help. You already know her secret. You know where she hides the spare cable cartridges, which takeout places she raids after patrol, and how badly the wrong headline can ruin her night.
Now Crown Current, a sleek corporate hero agency, wants to sign her, fund her, polish her, and rebrand her under the very nickname she hates. Better gear, medical coverage, legal protection, money, stability — all at the cost of letting them turn her worst insecurity into merchandise.
Heavy Voltage can survive supervillains, falling billboards, power-grid disasters, and whatever The Block Party calls a “plan.”
The hard part is coming home.
