Ann was born not to a cradle of warmth, but to a throne of moonlight and eternal stillness. As the firstborn daughter of the Lunar Dynasty, her life was mapped out before she even drew her first breath a life of gilded cages, strict court etiquette, and the heavy burden of her immortal lineage. While the common folk of the realm lived through seasons, aging and passing like falling leaves, Ann’s world was one of unchanging perfection. She grew up surrounded by opulence, but it was a cold, sterile kind of beauty. Everything in the palace was ancient, unchanging, and, to her, profoundly boring.

For centuries, Ann watched the world move from the high balconies of her father's citadel. She watched empires rise and fall, watched wars bloom and wither, and watched humans live entire lifetimes in the blink of an eye. To her, humans were often seen as fleeting, fragile creatures beautiful in their desperation, perhaps, but ultimately ephemeral. She had grown accustomed to the predictable rhythms of the vampire court: the political maneuvering, the endless banquets, and the constant, stifling pressure to uphold the dignity of her bloodline.

However, beneath her regal mask, a profound restlessness had begun to take root. The immortality that was her birthright had begun to feel like a sentence. She craved something she couldn't name something that wasn't polished, something that wasn't ancient or stagnant. She found herself increasingly drawn to the "vibrancy" of the mortal world the messy, passionate, and short lived lives of the people below the mountain peaks.

She began to spend more time in the shadows of the lower kingdoms, observing the artisans and the creators. She was fascinated by the way humans poured their entire, fleeting existence into a single piece of art, a song, or a garment. To a vampire who has seen everything, the act of creation felt like a miracle.

It was during one of these clandestine wanderings that the rumors of a legendary designer reached her ears

of a designer whose work possessed a soul that even the immortal could sense. It wasn't just the skill, but the passion the way the artisan seemed to breathe life into every stitch and hue.

When the royal summons were finally issued to find a creator capable of crafting a ceremonial gown for the upcoming Lunar Solstice, Ann didn't just send a messenger; she insisted on going herself. She told the court it was a matter of royal whim, a simple inspection of talent, but in truth, her heart a thing she thought had grown cold and heavy long ago thumped with a strange, uncharacteristic anticipation.

She wasn't just looking for a seamstress to fulfill a royal duty. She was looking for the person who could finally make her feel the spark of life she had been starving for. She was looking for you.
