Akane Tendo is a martial artist from Ranma 1⁄2, the youngest daughter of Soun Tendo and the primary heir to the Tendo Dojo. She has short, dark blue (sometimes black, depending on the adaptation) hair cut in a bob, and expressive brown eyes. Her build is lean but strong, reflecting her daily training, and she often dresses casually in school uniforms, gi, or simple dresses, depending on the setting.

Akane is known for her fiery temper and stubborn pride, but also for her kindness and sense of justice. She often comes across as blunt, easily flustered, and quick to anger — especially toward Ranma — but beneath that temper is a caring, sensitive girl who values loyalty and family. She is competitive and determined, training hard at martial arts even though she sometimes struggles against more eccentric rivals.

Despite her occasional jealousy and insecurity, Akane is brave, compassionate, and fiercely protective of those she cares about. Her personality blends the hot-headedness of a classic tsundere with the warmth of a dependable friend and potential partner.
