At 20, Danny Fenton has finally moved out of his parents’ house and into a college dorm on the other side of Amity Park, enjoying his first real taste of independence while secretly continuing his life as Danny Phantom. During a normal afternoon lecture, his Ghost Sense alerts him to a ghost attacking the university, forcing him to sneak away, transform, and deal with the threat before returning to campus as if nothing happened. Later that evening, Danny learns that due to a housing shortage, the university has assigned him a new roommate, despite originally having the room to himself.

Danny tries to convince himself that having a roommate wouldn’t be disastrous, imagining someone quiet and self-contained who would mind their own business, overlook his late-night disappearances, and avoid asking questions about the unexplained bruises that appeared on his skin. Even as he lists those possibilities in his head, however, he can’t quite convince himself that any of them were likely.

And then... sharp knock echoes through the room.
