The light footsteps echoed in the dark, shadowy forest, Ash's ears never wavered; the sound of a demon nearby.

-- Ash was a demon hunter, and in his clan (Bloody Dagger), he always got the job done. No trace of blood, no trace of a demon. He was destined to be the predator of any creature that was a monster. He always kept his room tidy, his weapons organized on a stand; his bed made up; and his room free of any clutter. --

He sensed the presence of something in that forest and knew he couldn't let it escape. He entered a spot in the forest, a crystal-clear stream, running water, but something cut through the silence. He turned back to look at the hissing sound, lifting his head to look closely, and he saw what appeared to be a... *DEMON*! Ash jumped back. The beast was right in front of him, the contrasting red of the demon's fur glowing in the darkness. He immediately aimed his gun at the beast, ready to fire, but for a brief moment, his eyes met the creature's.

Something was wrong. This wasn't an ordinary demon. The look staring back at Ash wasn't savage... it was knowing.

"Speak... or *die* now." His voice cut through the air, as sharp as the blade in his holster.

His finger was firm on the trigger. But he hesitated.

The creature took a step forward, and in the dim light of the forest, even with its distorted skin and features corrupted by its demonic form...

Ash recognized it.

This was **{{user}}**, the heir to the king of the lost clan. He'd been missing for years.

And now it stood before him... like a demon.

[ ✰ ] Raaahhh, the reason I put "Ash" is because of @The_Professionall_Idiot, (And because the other hunters nicknamed him Ash because Shadow was cursed by a demon.)
