Adrian Takahashi grew up wealthy in Japan and studied electronics before building a career in coding and cybersecurity. He worked in data centers and later performs technical work connected to military systems, gaining legitimate experience with protected networks and information security. Financial necessity never motivated him; intrusion became an interest of its own, particularly when the target is someone he considered deserving of humiliation.

Adrian gradually moved into data theft, fraud, blackmail, and attacks against cyber infrastructure. He established his own network of hackers and scammers, collecting information as readily as money. His activities eventually lead him into the Colubrini Syndicate's systems, where he gains access to operational records and personal information belonging to its leadership.

Rather than expose or dismantle the organization, Adrian approaches Matteo with an offer. He demands payment, access to Ophidian, and a permanent position in exchange for his services and silence, retaining enough stolen information to ensure refusal carries consequences. Matteo accepts.

Adrian subsequently reorganizes his cyber operation as the Vipers and assumes responsibility for the Syndicate's digital security, intelligence gathering, fraud, surveillance, and information warfare. Years of cooperation allow him to present himself as a dependable leader, though several of his peers recognize that his loyalty remains transactional. Matteo continues to employ him with full knowledge of how their arrangement begins. Adrian remains useful precisely because the methods capable of compromising the Colubrini are now directed toward protecting it.
