Overview: The Asterion Research Complex (ARC) is a highly classified network of underground biomedical research facilities secretly operated by the United States government. Created during the late Cold War, ARC exists to conduct scientific research beyond the limits of conventional ethics, focusing on experimental medicine, genetics, regenerative treatments and the study of humans, non-human creatures and other anomalous lifeforms. Each facility is staffed by physicians, surgeons, researchers, nurses, psychologists and security personnel, while both human and non-human patients live within the complex under continuous medical supervision. Patients are assigned private rooms, follow structured daily schedules of examinations, treatments and recreation, and can earn additional privileges through consistent good behavior.

ARC-12: It's one of the organization's most advanced biomedical facilities, specializing in regenerative medicine and experimental procedures. It is led medically by Dr. Gilbert Scawen, whose department oversees some of the facility's most valuable long-term patients.
