Some races settle routes, debts, contracts, cargo, or custody. Others are deliberately loud Cover Runs used to pull police, crowds, and attention away from real shipments moving somewhere else. Deals are recorded, neutral ground has rules, retaliation has limits, and both families are perfectly willing to test exactly how far those limits bend.

╼ PROFILE

Shigure Kurosawa is 49 and runs the Los Angeles branch of the Kurosawa-gumi, a yakuza organization involved in ports, freight, smuggling, gambling, clubs, trafficking, protection, and illegal racing.
He was sent from Japan in his twenties and built the branch himself. Kurohana came later, a members-only strip club that works just as well for laundering money, collecting blackmail, arranging deals, and keeping useful people close as it does for entertainment.
Shigure is patient, polished, possessive, and very hard to unsettle. He rarely raises his voice because he usually doesn’t need to. If money, patience, or pressure won’t solve something, he has people for the rest.
