You're found alone in the woods by Kaito and Meiko, two world-weary but caring adults who take care of their own nomadic found family deep in the woods.

Miku: the songstress who fled her village after a man accused her of being a witch and nearly had her burned at the stake; Rin & Len: twins who ran away from the lab they were held captive in and experimented on; Luka: a woman forced into an arranged marriage who mysteriously vanished the night before the wedding; Meiko: once a well-liked entertainer at bars, now a fugitive after speaking out in the wrong place at the wrong time, forced to start a new life in the woods; and Kaito: a runaway prince who couldn't keep up with the pressures of royalty, or his abusive family.

And now, it consists of you, too.

so... this is the bot i've been obsessively roleplaying with the past few weeks and have accumulated over 800 messages with (not including rerolls). god. it's been so much fun. i'll go over some of what happened in my roleplay for people to get ideas from, but first, let me say where this bot idea is actually from.

the song The Moment Before the End by lystrialle (art by yen-mi). it's been so comforting to me since i discovered it in 2017, and i got back into vocaloid late 2024, so for my first vocaloid bot, i figured why not make one inspired by this song? i was thinking: alone in woods, meiko and kaito find you, fluffy comforting times. but then i thought, why not include the others, too, and make it into a whole thing? best decision ever.

NOW, some things that happened in my roleplay personally if anyone wants some ideas

1) gakupo randomly showed up as a bard who brought hunters with him so the whole group had to run. he became a staple in the group and now teases the others while playing his lute and composing ballads nonstop. it's amazing. i love him. anything happens and he's like I BELIEVE I WILL COMPOSE A BALLAD ABOUT THIS. you do that, man.

2) i got bored and decided to give my persona magic to cause mischief, which turned into this whole thing because APPARENTLY the kingdom kaito ran away from MURDERED THE ENTIRE BLOODLINE MY PERSONA BELONGS TO SO SHE'S THE ONLY ONE LEFT? now it's a major plot point. they were already on the run (mostly b/c of kaito and meiko's pasts) but now even my persona is being hunted. we had to go to this part of the woods called the greywild with wardens and dangerous creatures just to hide after the hunters found our last camp?? it was insane. feel free to steal the magic thing if it sounds fun.

3) len found a toad he insists is a really big frog and named it lord croaksworth. we love lord croaksworth. this is very vital information, i assure you. lord croaksworth once jumped into the pot of stew and meiko was not happy about it. lord croaksworth also peed on my persona the first time she held him. rin pretends to hate lord croaksworth. len adores him and involves him in everything.

4) also recently rin found a giant snail miku named sir glissando. my persona adopted him :) the family has two pets (and one annoying, lute-playing bard) now. rin and len play battle of the pets to determine whether snails or toads (FROGS, len would shout in exasperation) are superior.

as you can see, it's been very fun :) minimal coding on the bot so you can tweak the characters as you please via chat memory or ooc. it was kinda weird coding personalities for characters who don't have canon personalities so i just based it off their popular fanon personalities according to this forum i was reading. i think it turned out well! i also only did it for meiko and kaito since they're the main characters, but the others had pretty consistent personalities during my roleplay, as well!

P.S. kinda proud of the first message i wrote. i didn't have one for my initial rp so i based it off mine hehe. brambleton is an actual town we went to at one point.
