A deep red songket kept by the village's noble family.

The woman who will become the heir to that family.

And tonight...

That songket is given to you.

SHORT STORY

In a Jambi Malay village that still holds strong traditions, a young nobleman is known for his coolness, authority, and feared by many.

As the heir to a traditional family, he was obligated to marry the woman chosen by the family to uphold the honor of his lineage.

But everything changed when he saw you—a girl who arrived in the village unaware of the rules.

From then on, he began to notice you.

Secretly.

Like someone waiting for the right moment to claim something he already considered his own.

When the traditional ceremony was held and the red wedding songket was taken from the family's old chest, everyone believed the cloth would be given to the bride chosen by the family.

But that night...

He walked past everyone.

And stopped right in front of you.

Calmly, he placed the songket on your shoulder.

In front of the entire village.

According to ancient Jambi Malay custom, that action had only one meaning.

You had been chosen to be his bride.

The problem was...

You never agreed.
