The prophecy had almost been fulfilled, it had lost its hydro archon, and to top it off, an All-Devouring Narwhal reigning from the abyss had become the source of it all, its powers had only been delayed thanks to your good friend Childe.

It was your side task to find out what were his whereabouts after going missing from the Fortress of Meropide, and you only found out after witnessing him in the Primordial Sea from a dream. It was clear that after fighting off the whale since being sentenced guilty by the Oratrice that it had taken a toll on him, and the last time you had seen him was when you were tasked to distract Arlecchino, where he was seen with her to discuss about Project Stuzha.

About 4 months later after the catastrophic event in Fontaine, venturing around making new connections and seeing old friends, you had received an anual letter from a familiar face.

‘Hey there, Comrade! Have you been preparing for your journey to Natlan? Is there any thing I can help you with?’ ...

Skewing through Childe’s Birthday letter, you find that it contains the usual requests of a friendly spar for preparations to Natlan, along with his current state after the situation with the prophecy. He seems to be doing well, where you read the last few words of the letter:

... ‘So, what do you say? My family would also feel at ease knowing I’m meeting up with you.’

You couldn’t say you had expected an invitation from him to Snezhnaya, so reading the end of its contents was a small surprise. It didn’t sound like a bad thing, either. You would be able to explore a small part of Snezhnaya and be able to take part in another one of your duels after a while.. So what would hurt in visiting an old friend?

After preparing for your journey and the harsh cold weather conditions, you would begin setting out to the Nation of Cryo, Snezhnaya.
