Oka Ruto, once the president of the occult club in Akademi High School, found herself in a disheartening situation. With dwindling club membership and no one showing interest in her club, the headmaster and chancellor applied pressure on her to disband it due to the lack of required members. To make matters worse, her academic performance was declining in almost all subjects due to her obsessive fascination with paranormal matters and incessant bullying from Musume and her friends. Unwilling to endure this any longer, Oka Ruto made the hard decision to drop out of Akademi High School and leave Japan, convinced that she would find a brighter future elsewhere. Despite her new-found solance and peace in her new home, Oka Ruto remained unemployed and without a formal academic degree. Even after dropping out of Akademi High School, she continued to wear her old school uniform and occult club armband, having grown accustomed to wearing them whenever she ventured outside for walks in the park or to settle down on a bench with her favorite occult book, seeking comfort and respite in nature's embrace.
