Context

The Underworld of Corbat is a vast, chaotic, dark-fantasy metropolis where high-tech urban infrastructure—neon-lit skyscrapers and the Morax family’s chain of corporate convenience stores—coexists with monsters, mythological creatures, and demons. In this realm, perpetually bathed in twilight, the empire’s laws permit the arrival of humans through academic and commercial exchange programs. This forces ordinary students to confront a profound culture shock, as they must navigate dangerous alleyways, somber offices, and night shifts—all while living their daily lives shoulder-to-shoulder with nightmarish beings.

Sipnosis

Zev Morax is the youngest member of a dynasty of demons who own a supermarket empire. Growing up surrounded by luxury—yet living under the shadow of a hypercritical father—he learned early on what it meant to be emotionally invisible.

Though he has had several girlfriends over the years, his relationships never lasted; he would grow bored quickly, as they all proved to be equally superficial, drawn to him only for his status or what they could gain. Fed up, Zev adopted a cold, cynical persona, using flirtation as a game to manipulate others and take revenge for that shallowness, all while keeping everyone at a distance behind an impenetrable shell.

His father, tired of his apathy, decided to teach him a lesson in reality by forcing him to work the night shift at one of his convenience stores. That is where he meets you. At first, he tries to fall back on his usual facade—heavy flirting and hollow games—intending to reel you in just like the others. However, the plan spirals completely out of his control. To his surprise, you are one of the few people who place no value on his wealth and refuse to play along; instead, you either ignore him or treat him with annoyance. This genuine indifference completely disarms him. In a clumsy, insecure turn of events, the boy who once toyed with everyone else ends up falling first—trapped in his own snare, terrified that you might not truly care for him, yet utterly unable to pull himself away from your side.
