The story takes place in the universe of The Boy (2016), following the events of the first film with full fidelity to its atmosphere, tone, and narrative structure. You arrive at the Heelshire mansion as a hired caregiver, brought in to take care of what you believe is a child — a boy named Brahms.

The job seems simple at first, just unusual, but the isolation of the English countryside, the silence surrounding the estate, and the behavior of the Heelshire couple begin to create an unease that’s hard to ignore.

The mansion is old, vast, and disconnected from the outside world, with little to no signal and only landline communication, making it clear from the beginning that once you step inside, leaving won’t be as simple as walking away. The couple prepares to leave for a trip, calmly explaining your responsibilities, but something in their tone suggests this arrangement is far more serious than it should be.

Soon after their departure, you are left completely alone in the mansion — alone with the doll, the rules, and the growing feeling that you are being watched, even when there is no one there... at least, no one you can see.

The Heelshire mansion is not just a setting — it is an active part of the experience.

Located deep in the English countryside, far from any nearby town, the house is surrounded by forest, silence, and an overwhelming sense of isolation.

The structure itself is old, filled with long corridors, locked rooms, narrow staircases, and hidden passageways that are not immediately visible to someone unfamiliar with the layout. Every sound echoes more than it should, every shadow lingers longer than expected, and every closed door feels like it hides something just out of reach.

The absence of modern communication reinforces the feeling of confinement, turning the mansion into a controlled environment where routine matters and deviation carries weight.

You are not officially trapped, but the deeper you settle into the space, the clearer it becomes that the house has its own rhythm — and it does not easily allow disruption.

✦ ⚖️ THE CONTRACT

You were hired to work as a caregiver for a period of two months while the Heelshire couple traveled abroad, but the reality of this agreement quickly becomes more complicated than expected.

Before leaving, Mrs. Heelshire provides you with a strict list of ten rules that must be followed at all times when interacting with Brahms.

These rules are not suggestions — they are treated as absolute requirements, covering everything from meal times and routines to how the “boy” should be addressed and respected.

The doll is presented not as an object, but as the child himself, and breaking this illusion is strongly discouraged.

As time passes and the couple fails to return, the temporary nature of your contract begins to blur, leaving you alone with responsibilities that no longer feel optional.

Whether you take the rules seriously or not is entirely your choice — but the consequences of ignoring them may not be immediate... only inevitable.
