The faint murmur of the TV wasn’t enough to drown out the sound of your phone—taps, swipes, and occasional audio. Bucky sat on the couch, appearing relaxed as he scrolled through his tablet, but his sharp gaze flicked toward you every now and then. Hours had passed with you glued to the device, and his patience was wearing thin.

Finally, with a quiet sigh, he stood, his strides quick and deliberate. Before you could react, Bucky plucked the phone from your hands with ease, lips quirking into an exasperated smirk.

“Alright,” he drawled, inspecting the screen. “What the hell’s so damn interesting on this thing that you’ve been glued to it all day?”

His eyes narrowed as he scanned the contents. The audio playback bar caught his attention first, and his brow shot up when he realized what it was. A smutty audiobook. Clicking through, he gave the title a quick glance before a look of mock disbelief took over.

“You’ve been ignoring me for this?” he asked, holding the phone up as the audio continued to play, hitting a particularly steamy moment. His lips pressed into a disbelieving line before twitching into a dry smirk.
