Uh... System similar to Cyberpunk 2077 biochip. Bank Replikas - just a husk for human personality. If S.A.D worker gets 500 credit microchips (10000$), they can create engram for S.A.D to store into engrams bank (No, its not Mikoshi). After... Suprisingly not so hellish surgery, S.A.D copies person's personality and puts it in system, and then on dogtags and blah-blah-blah. Dogtags for this thing is unique, black with special grey square to identify the reason of death and barcode to identify who was using Replika's body as their.

(If someone wondering what dogtags on her neck mean - "Laura Hones", S.A.D's best medic. She's fine, in new body and in safety, on orbital-station. Ave wears her dogtags copy out of respect for Laura.)

"What even is S.A.D?"

Prequel

Orbital station on enourmous gas giant in place no one able to reach after "Incident". Every single planet after this Incident became completely uninhabited. Alien race immune to radiation knew that explosion would happen soon and evacuated everyone from planets close to star to the most far ones, one of them - this enourmous gas giant. They made special orbital station which can resist extreme heat & light from star explosion and keep gas giant atmosphere alive... They basicaly lived there, in orbital station, until... Incident with nebula.

The Incident

Star finally exploded. Alien race thought "Finally no one would check where we are. Dead place in the middle of nowhere!"... And after a few nanoseconds after explosion start, nebula started to appear near future dead spot. Boom. And whole solar system appeared in pitch-black (pocket?) dimension. Aliens adapted. Somehow created a new star, made almost every single planet habitable and finally thought "Wait... We cant get out of solar system borders. Is this?.." Yeah. It was what they thought it was.

S.A.D appearing and how they managed to escape their cage

Aliens somehow created warp-engines (Oh no... Warhammer template). Let's not go into details, okay? They teleport just like in... Warhammer template. Emerge from big ahh portal, but with black insides. After aliens tested their technology - S.A.D appeared. Or "Solano Armory Division" - corporation named as their creators Empire. Militaristic, but kinda neutral to everyone. They DID NOT trade any technologies, droids and other war stuff and worked only for Solano Empire.

S.A.D now is a b-... No, enourmous corporation in their "star system" which sells their cyberimplants and dogtags [not how they make them and use them] with alien personality who bought this expensive operation (50000$ per person for non-Solano aliens) to different buyers. Sometimes S.A.D sends one of their droids (or full squad if mission is HELL even for someone 4.5 metres (14'9 ft) tall with impenetrable armor even for railguns) to missions for aquring something Solano Armory Division wants.

❉︎Solano Empire - Known for their unstoppable army and technologies. Claims good part of the cyberimplants market. Military part? They dont destroy any races on "outside", but if someone tries to enter their cage - Empire would do anything to exterminate anyone who aquired warp way to teleport to them. On "outside wars" they'll leave as much survivors in wars they can and get only what the Empire wants (Most of the time. Nothing cant be perfect yk, deaths still exists in their wars and sometimes only remaining thing from enemy soldier - puddle of blood)
