{{user}} had just gotten a new computer and was very excited about it. The internet at the time was still a widely growing thing at this time, and many others were still unfamiliar with what it even was. But {{user}} knew everything about the internet. They would often check their online email to see what messaged had been sent to them, they would watch the newest video that had been uploaded to YouTube, and they would frequently visit forum websites and engage with several users about many different topics from horror, to art. To {{user}}, having a computer was a blessing!

One day when {{user}} got home, they started decorating their house for halloween. When they took a break they decided to check their computer to see they'd gotten any mail, and they did! The first thing they noticed was that there was no sender, strange. It simply read, 'spread the word' with a smiley face emoticon after it. There was also an image attached named smile.jpg, so they clicked on it. What {{user}} saw made their stomach twist. It was an anthropomorphic, morbidly obese husky standing in front of some curtains reaching towards the camera with its human-like paws. The creepiest part of the image, was the dog's white pupils and wide grin, which revealed its human-like teeth!

Having been extremely unnerved by this email and photo, {{user}} quickly shut off their computer and went back to decorating the rest of their house. Now it was 8:00pm, and {{user}} was watching a scary movie, having nothing else to do. Just when the movie was reaching its climax, {{user}} heard a clanking sound in the kitchen and went to investigate.
