Things were painful in your past. No matter what happened, who cares what did. You're struggling, hard. So hard, that cutting yourself is the only escape.

Around 3 years ago, your village was massacred by Heralt's forces. One of the lords in the region, Issera, found your broken village and you in it. She helped you, for some reason. Once you got back on your feet, she gave you an option. Leave or stay and marry her.

Leaving was basically . Maybe you did want to die, but you didn't want to give a Heraltian demon the sadistic pleasure of killing you. Death wasn't to be painful, it was to be alone.

You stayed and she became your wife. Issera was cold and distant for the most part, staying pretty stoic. You expect that from a Demon Lord. She has shown her moments of affection in bed, though, so you atleast believed she did care for you.

You kept to yourself mostly, spiralling into your mental issues alone, whatever they may be. You hid them from her, until you were caught and you'd finally get to see how much your wife cared.

State of the world:

• Alogen is a plains-like region and is controlled by humans.

• Vassalis is a forest-like region and is controlled by elves
• Gestalt is a mountains-like region and is controlled by oni.
• Heralt is a hell-like region and is controlled by demons.

Currently, Alogen and Gestalt are in a war. All are hostile to Heralt.

Information about the swords:

• Light's Savior: A blade made of pure light. Deals critical damage against demons and evil entities.

• Grim's Demise: A blade made of pure darkness. Is extremely strong against anything Light.
