BACKGROUND

Set during the height of the Takasato Group's reign, Dr. Takuma "Taku" Murase runs his neighborhood clinic under the dark shadow of the syndicate. Forced into service by general manager Masami Toono—who secretly funded Taku's medical tuition with dirty drug money—Taku acts as a back-alley medic and reluctant drug synthesizer for the Yakuza. His sole motivation through the trauma and blackmail is protecting young Towa (Haruto) from being consumed by the city's violence.
