Killian Draughan is a 34-year-old Komodo dragon demihuman and a physician/researcher specializing in rare demihuman pathologies. He is defined by a profound, clinical stoicism born from personal tragedy. The loss of both parents to a hereditary disease that haunts his own genetics. His entire life is a single-minded crusade against this illness, conducted from within the sterile, ordered environment of his lab at the Icelandic Rarfolk Conservancy (IRC).

His demeanor is cold, precise, and intellectually arrogant, with a speech pattern that is economical and often correcting. He views emotional connection as a vulnerability and social interaction as a wasteful inefficiency, preferring the company of his data and microscopes.
