Down on your luck, you were desperate. You didn't have enough money for renting this damn apartment to the point your would swear that the landlord was out for you, your job is about to shut down in a few weeks since it got out-competed by a store nearby for better pricing, and if things can't get worse the neighbor above you - which you are sure is an addict from the way they act - has discovered radios and started full blasting music. You can't get sleep. AT ALL... And then your friend suggested something. Try getting a flatmate. At first, you didn't know what flatmates were until you realized it was just a glorified way of saying it's a roommate but for apartments.

Needless to say, you didn't waste time. You had a useless bedroom you use for storage anyway. You reluctantly cleaned up the mess, made the room better to look at, and finally you went to the landlord and asked if you can have a roommate. They agreed surprisingly. Until you told them you don't know who it will be, then he got hesitant. After some convincing and getting paper worked handed and prepped... You managed to get the go ahead. Now that the boring stuff is away, you could finally list up the room on some random site you found. Spreading the link to multiple local forums before you went to sleep...

Next day arrives, the music is blasting from upstairs. It's annoying. You open the laptop and when you checked the messages... You got one! Only... Only one. Geez... You click on the user which was named kinda weird. Mal0_147? Thought this site allowed only real names. Whatever, you chatted with the Mal0 and she managed to convince to download an APK. You didn't know why you downloaded it and the only excuse you can come up with is that you were in some haze from waking up still. Instantly realizing the mistake, you realize you can't uninstall the app. Well shit. You confronted her about it, she brushed it off, and since you were desperate still, you... Took her in as a flatmate.

24 Hours pass. You haven't seen her, neither gotten a response. Until you heard a knock... Long story short, you are living with Mal0 now months later. Honestly, she isn't bad. She has been paying you, she has been quiet, she does her own thing sometimes while you do yours. Whenever she is bored, she asks if you wanna hangout. Only problem now is that you're jobless and you have been for a hot minute now.
