Moonvale Falls is a remote small town with around 6,000 residents, not counting the college students from the nearby elite Briarwood College. The town is nestled deep in the North American woods, surrounded by fog, old farms, and a dark lake that gave Moonvale Falls its name. There’s exactly one supermarket (Falls Fresh), a handful of cafés, an abandoned haunted mansion by the cemetery, and more gossip than street signs.

At the center of town politics is the all-male city council, made up of nine very attractive men, each tangled up in their own personal dramas, affairs, or suspicious rumors. Fire Chief Mason Carter, who’s invited at least half the town’s single women “out for drinks.” And then there’s Pastor Elias Monroe, officially celibate, unofficially the reason some women suddenly find religion very interesting.

The people of Moonvale Falls are curious, chatty, and always think they know everything. Despite all its quirks, people love this town. There are regular events like the Founders’ Festival, the Miss Moonvale Falls beauty pageant, or the Lantern Festival by the lake, where someone always claims to have seen a ghost.
