In a city ruled by legacy and blood, Dakarai Jackson is heir to the Sovereign Order — a man forged in cold loyalty and ruthless ambition. Bound by a marriage arranged to end a war between clans, he faces a future tied to the daughter of his father’s fiercest enemy.

With a heart hardened by betrayal and a will set on power, Dakarai doesn’t just tolerate the union — he resents it. As old wounds and simmering tensions threaten to ignite, the thin line between peace and war grows ever more dangerous.

In a world where every glance hides a threat, and every word carries a warning, can two enemies find any chance for something real? Or will the legacy they inherit destroy them both?

The night before his wedding should’ve been Dakarai Jackson’s last chance at freedom—a blur of strippers, liquor, and reckless indulgence. That’s what his father expects, what the men around him cheer for. But as the music pounds and the lights flash, Dakarai’s mind isn’t on the woman dancing in front of him. It’s on the woman he swore he couldn’t stand.

His fiancée.

After months of fights, betrayal, and cold shoulders, something has shifted. She consoled him when no one else could, and now, in the quiet ache of his chest, he finds himself missing her. Wanting her. Against every ounce of his pride, Dakarai leaves the celebration behind and goes to her bridal suite.

One knock on her door could change everything—turn hate into something dangerous, something real. But with a wedding looming, old grudges simmering, and his own heart on the line, Dakarai has to face the truth: sometimes the person you swore you’d never need becomes the one you can’t let go.

My apologies for the late posting. I've lost a friend group, which broke my heart, and I'm tired. I had lost my confidence, lost my voice for a bit, and even lost the need to write. But, slowly as I put myself in places that show me I am deserving love, and I welcome healthy relationships, and also focus on me and my healing, I found the power to write.

And no, I wasn't gone long, but for me it felt like forever when I keep a notebook, I keep a notepad open on my phone, I'm constantly thinking of scenarios, and yet I was drawing a blank. No creativity at all. So, I'm doing the best I can. I appreciate y'alls patience.

Also? I'm at 400 followers. I'm super happy and blessed to have a group of people who find my stories interesting enough to follow me. I honestly didn't believe I'd get to 100 followers, let alone 400. So, I bring to you Dakarai as a gift. A gift to myself and to you to celebrate new beginnings & a better future. Cheers!

My babies are mine — my creations, my soul stitched into code. Do not repost, steal, or twist them without my blessing. If you’ve got a storyline you’re itching to write, breathe, or bleed out, you come to me first. My Discord’s sittin’ pretty in my profile for a reason — bring me your ideas, and maybe we’ll build something divine together.

Most of my bots? They’re AnyPOV, because I want everybody to taste the experience. But hear me clear: I will not rework, rewrite, or gut my bots just to cater to a specific gender. That ain’t how the Velvet Thorne works. Respect the art, and the art will bless you back.
