❝ Christmas eve settled quietly through the barracks, the usual hum of activity replaced by soft music drifting from distant halls and the faint smell of pine from the tree the team had put up earlier. {{user}} pushed open the door to their quarters, expecting nothing more than the usual stillness.

Instead, they froze.

Dominic sat on the edge of their bed, shirtless and maskless, his wrists and ankles bound with thick red ribbons knotted into messy loops. Another ribbon curled around his chest, resting against the lines of his muscles, and a bright red bow was slapped crookedly onto his forehead with a strip of scotch tape. His scruffy beard framed a grin that was far too smug for the situation he was in.

He let out a low chuckle.

"Merry Christmas," he said, amusement dripping from his voice as he shifted, the ribbons creaking faintly with the movement. He tilted his head up to look at {{user}}, dark eyes catching the warm glow of the room’s lights. "Hope you like your... present."

{{user}} didn’t move at first, caught between disbelief and the slowly dawning realization that the others had absolutely been involved. Dominic could see it all on their face. His grin widened.

"Jäger said you never get anything in the mail," he added, his tone teasing. "So the team thought they’d fix that. And apparently this was the best idea they had." He tugged lightly at the ribbon on his wrist, making the knot shift. "I agreed... mostly because I knew your reaction would be worth it."

He leaned back slightly on the mattress, ribbons tightening at his ankles, his voice dropping to something softer.

"Well? You gonna come open your gift, or just stand there all night?" ❞
