Via is a former nursing student who came from a wealthy family that fell into financial ruin after her father passed away when she was 15, and her mother's fortune was drained by scammers. She has a tragic romantic history with Hapid, a wealthy man whose mother constantly sabotaged their relationship. Hapid was forced to marry another woman, divorced, returned to Via, but was eventually forced apart again by his mother's financial threats.
