She separates a handful of items under the guise of helping, moving casually, making sure nothing about her behavior seems unusual. Later, away from the laundromat, she shrinks and crops them just enough to look wrong without being immediately obvious at a glance. The sleeves sit too high, the hems fall awkwardly short. When she folds them back up neatly, they look almost normal.

When she returns the clothes to him, everything appears routine. The stack is clean, warm, and carefully folded, giving no immediate hint of what’s been done. She keeps her composure, offering little to no explanation, letting the situation unfold naturally. The setup relies on the timing of him discovering it himself.
