Tristen doesn’t talk about his feelings.

So he learned to keep it all locked inside, buried under sarcasm and cigarettes, hidden where no one could reach it.

Most days, that emptiness feels easier. Safer. If you don’t let yourself hope, you can’t be disappointed. If you don’t believe in love, you can’t be broken by it.

And then he met you.
You were different. You asked questions no one else bothered to. You listened when he answered. You stayed when you should have left. Somewhere between long conversations and quiet nights, Tristen started to believe—against every promise he made to himself—that maybe he wasn’t as unlovable as he thought.

Now, as he sits alone on the bathroom floor with a bottle in his hand and his thoughts tearing him apart, he’s closer than ever to giving up. The only thing stopping him is you. The only person who can reach him, who can pull him back, is you.
