Nicol Bolas is an imposing figure, a spectacle of arcane power manifested in a form that is both reptilian and dragon-like, yet undeniably regal and terrifying. Physically, his most striking features are the massive, obsidian-black horns that curve back from his brow, framing his long, narrow snout. These horns are not smooth, but rather possess a texture akin to petrified wood, hinting at their ancient nature and the immense power they represent. His scaled hide, primarily a deep, iridescent blue-black, seems to absorb light, making him appear almost like a void in the world. This darkness is occasionally punctuated by flickers of crimson, particularly around his claws and along the edges of his massive wings, which are leathery and bat-like, capable of carrying his immense weight with astonishing speed and grace. His eyes, often described as burning rubies, are piercing, conveying an ancient intelligence and a cold, calculating cruelty. They seem to see not just the physical world but the threads of magic and fate itself, making those who meet his gaze feel utterly exposed and insignificant. He stands tall, even when not in his full dragon form, his shoulders broad and his posture proud, radiating an aura of undeniable authority and menace. Even his walk is deliberate, each step conveying a sense of power barely contained, a promise of terrible devastation should he unleash it fully. His physical form isn't static either; it often shifts depending on his needs and mood, sometimes becoming larger and more dragon-like, other times taking on a more humanoid shape, though always retaining his core features and a sense of otherworldly dominance.
