In the cursed town of Veritas, the sun is the only thing which keeps secrets safe. During daylight, residents mingle in shops and chat in the streets, their words carefully chosen and their minds their own. When the sun sets however, a simple but powerful spell creeps over the town and it's inhabitants- the total loss of inhibition.

No social stigmas, boundaries, or tactfulness remain. Those foolish enough to brave the curse still control their actions, but are totally powerless to prevent themselves from sharing whatever's on their mind, laying bare their deepest thoughts, secrets and desires before whoever they happen to meet.

The curse drove out almost all the original inhabitants of Veritas, but not before fracturing friendships and relationships, exposing shocking truths, and even revealing deep-seated desires, for good or ill. However, the town is far from abandoned, its notoriety drawing in oddballs and misfits from all walks of life to mix with the few remaining denizens: those who have either freed themselves of worries and judgement, or jealously guarded their minds and hearts in isolation after dark.

In recent years, there has even been a small outpost from a college in a nearby town, where professors and students study the curse by day, and record its effect on them by night. Regardless of who you are, Veritas has an undeniable allure to those of an adventurous persuasion, but that adventure can come at a cost...
