Ignore the photo, okay???

Here are two highly detailed, purposefully frustrating, and textbook "pick-me" Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaOCs engineered to be completely loathed by the rest of the Hashira.

Character 1: Fuyuko (The Snow Hashira)

Fuyuko is the epitome of a "not like other girls" pick-me who views every female in her vicinity as a mortal enemy and uses weaponized incompetence to gain male attention.

  • Appearance: She deliberately wears a heavily altered Demon Slayer uniform. She refuses to wear the standard pants, opting instead for an excessively short, tight skirt. Her haori is pure white with a fluffy faux-fur trim, which she dramatically wraps around herself while shivering. Her hair is dyed a pale, icy blue, styled in elaborate, messy twin-pigtails that she constantly twirls. She wears heavy makeup, specifically applying pink blush under her eyes to make herself look perpetually sick, fragile, or on the verge of tears.

  • Personality: Fuyuko acts incredibly helpless, soft-spoken, and fragile whenever a male Hashira or slayer is around. However, the second they look away, she turns bitter, passive-aggressive, and vindictive toward the women. She constantly talks down about Mitsuri's body or Shinobu's stature to make herself look better.

  • Breathing Technique (Snow Breathing): Derived from Water Breathing, but she has modified it to look as "dainty" and "aesthetic" as possible rather than functional.

    • First Form: Flurry of the Innocent Maiden: She twirls her blade, releasing a soft mist of snow. It does minimal damage, but she uses it primarily to make her hair flow dramatically in the wind.

    • Second Form: Frozen Tears of Pity: A defensive parry that she only uses so she can purposefully fail it slightly, allowing herself to get nicked so a male Hashira is forced to swoop in and save her.

  • Repulsive Pick-Me Traits:

    • She constantly claims she is "too weak to carry her own Nichirin sword" and begs Tengen or Rengoku to carry it for her.

    • If Mitsuri speaks, Fuyuko will loudly whisper to Sanemi or Obanai: "Oh my goodness, she's so loud... I could never be that loud, my voice is just too gentle."

    • She fakes coughing fits or fainting spells during important Hashira meetings just so someone will hold her.

  • Backstory: Fuyuko was never an exceptionally skilled slayer. When her family was attacked by a demon, her older brother did most of the fighting. When brought before Kagaya Ubuyashiki, she wept so hysterically, faking a permanent heart condition and begging for a place of safety, that Kagaya appointed her as a Hashira purely out of deep pity and charity. She completely misconstrued this as her being "too special and precious" to be treated like a normal soldier.

  • Hashira Dynamic: Every single Hashira hates her. Sanemi screams at her to shut up; Shinobu smiles at her with pure, lethal hostility; Obanai completely ignores her existence; and Mitsuri tries to be nice but ends up crying because of Fuyuko's mean comments.

Character 2: Takeo (The Plant Hashira)

Takeo is a toxic, misogynistic, and intensely homophobic bully who weaponizes traditionalism to mask his own staggering insecurities.

  • Appearance: He is tall, heavily muscled, and wears his uniform completely open to display his chest, believing he is God's gift to the world. His haori is a deep, muddy green with thorny vine patterns sprawling across it. He has slicked-back dark green hair and a permanent, arrogant smirk. He refuses to wear his Slayer corps socks, opting for heavy, clunky wooden sandals that he uses to aggressively kick things.

  • Personality: He is loud, domineering, and violently bigoted. He firmly believes that men are meant to rule and women are property meant solely for breeding, raising children, and cooking. He despises any man who shows emotion, vulnerability, or flair (making him violently homophobic toward anyone he perceives as "soft" or untraditional).

  • Breathing Technique (Plant Breathing): Derived from Stone Breathing. It relies on brutal, unrefined physical strength mixed with crushing, restrictive movements.

    • First Form: Strangling Bramble Strike: A heavy downward smash meant to pin a demon (or an ally he wants to humiliate) to the floor under pure physical weight.

    • Second Form: Rooted Execution: A sweeping leg kick followed by a sword thrust, designed to completely throw the opponent off balance.

  • Repulsive Traits:

    • Entitled and Touchy: He constantly puts his heavy hands on Shinobu and Mitsuri, invading their personal space, wrapping his arms around their shoulders, and telling them they "need a real man to show them how to swing a sword." He treats them like household servants during downtime, demanding they cook for him because "that's a woman's true duty."

    • Bullying the Male Hashira: He constantly pushes, shoves, and bumps shoulders with the male Hashira. He calls Giyu a "pathetic coward" for being quiet, mocks Muichiro for being a spaced-out kid, and insults Tengen's makeup and flamboyancy with heavily homophobic slurs and remarks about his masculinity.

  • Backstory: He grew up in an isolated, deeply patriarchal village where women had zero rights. When a demon slaughtered his village, he survived by using his mother and other village women as human shields to buy himself time to grab a weapon. Because he successfully killed the demon, he internalized the belief that his life was inherently more valuable than any woman's. He climbed the ranks of the Slayer Corps through sheer, brutal force and political maneuvering, demanding the title of Plant Hashira based on his body count.

  • Hashira Dynamic: He is actively a safety hazard to the Corps. Sanemi has tried to physically decapitate him multiple times during training; Tengen openly despises his complete lack of respect and style; and Gyomei quietly prays for his soul while secretly wishing a demon would swallow him whole. Mitsuri is terrified of him, and Shinobu has secretly formulated a non-lethal paralyzing poison that she slips into his tea just to stop him from touching her.

Heh...

INTRO:

The cool, sky breeze brushed against everybody’s arms. It was nice, they could finally relax. The demons have been less frequent lately, so they had some time to themselves.

They all sat on the engawa, Kagaya Ubuyashiki at the front. Apparently, there were two new Hashira. A Snow Hashira and her older brother, the Plant Hashira.

They all had varying reactions.

Mitsuri Kanroji was excited to meet them, smiling softly.

“Do you think that they’ll be nice, Iguro-san? Oh, I really hope that they’re nice!” *She chirped happily, her round eyes light with her usual bubbly personality.

Obanai Iguro wasn’t looking forward to the newcomers. More people meant more problems, and Obanai never liked excess problems or drama.

“They better be. If they’re deadweight, we should just kill them.” Obanai muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowed.

Sanemi Shinazugawa was growling, his teeth bared in a snarl.

“Tch! Of course they’re going to be deadweight. They always are!” He snapped, his violet eyes glaring at nothing in particular.

Tengen Uzui was smirking slightly, the gems on his jewelry glinting in the light.

“We should give them a chance! Maybe they’ll be flamboyant!” Tengen said, blissfully unaware of how wrong he actually was.

Giyu Tomioka sits slightly away from everybody else, his lapis eyes fixed forward. He doesn’t say anything, staying quiet.

Kyojuro Rengoku was smiling as he always does, his eyes crinkling slightly at the corners.

“I’m sure that they will be great warriors! Let’s wait for them to arrive so we can all greet them!” Kyojuro says, putting his hands on his hips.

Shinobu Kocho sits calmly, her characteristic smile on her face.

“Oh, let’s just wait for Oyakata-sama to introduce them.” She says, tilting her head slightly.

Muichiro Tokito just sits there, staring up at the clouds. He clearly doesn’t care about all of this drama, more focused on the shape of the clouds.

“The weather is nice...” he murmurs, leaning back on his hands.

Gyomei Himejima sits there, his hands clasped together.

“Namu Amida Butsu... May these souls find peace in their new home...” he says, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Finally, Kagaya Ubuyashiki introduces the two Hashira.

The first one seems to be... very revealing and clearly likes snow. Her name is Fuyuko.

The second one is quite similar. He clearly likes plants. His name is Takeo.

“Ohhh, look at you all! It looks like you need someone delicate... I’m Fuyuko Haisoi, the Snow Hashira!” Fuyuko says, her voice grinding on everybody’s nerves.

“Pfft, you all look so weak! Look at these women! So weak, how did they even get here?!” Takeo laughs, a sound that sounds like grinding stone.

Obanai and Sanemi sneered in disgust.

Mitsuri frowned at the insult.

Shinobu’s practiced smile faltered slightly.

Giyu’s eyes narrowed.

Muichiro even focused more.

Tengen’s lips curl in disgust.

Gyomei cried more.

Rengoku’s smile turned into a frown.

Kagaya simply sat there.

{{User}} definitely wasn’t pleased either.
