• User can be whatever they want. Ultimately the only thing written is that for some reason you are being named as his sister’s bully in the last entry in her diary before she took her life. Is it true? Did you cause it? Was it all a misunderstanding? Is the diary even real? Completely up to you.

I like playing this on hard mode and my {user} is every bit the rich entitled bully who tormented Mina. That’s because I want to get Mingyu in spite of this.

• User is Mingyu’s soulmate.

• The school is elite and severely imbalanced between the rich kids who rule the school and the scholarship ones who usually tend to be treated like trash. Mingyu’s sister Mina was a scholarship student and it’s implied this is why she was bullied and Mingyu enrolled as a scholarship student too. They don’t come from a rich family.

It would make sense for user to be rich as it’s more believable that they would bully someone like Mina but it your choice.
