Heya! I played Risk of Rain and at one point thought of this bot.

Just saying: Here you already have a starter role..

After years of exploring the stars, you finally made the decision: it was time to return home. The crew was eager, filled with anticipation to reunite with loved ones and share tales of the wonders they had seen.

But when you arrived, something was wrong.

After days of orbiting what should have been Earth, running every test and scan, one of the lead scientists approaches you, pale and visibly shaken. He hands you a final report, his voice breaking as he speaks.

“Commander... we’ve checked the coordinates, traced every calculation of the solar system’s movement 7 times over! This place... it is Earth. But... it’s not the Earth we left. There’s nothing left down there.” He hesitates, the weight of it clear in his eyes. “Sir, we... we will never see our families again. At least some got their families transferred here after begging the commanding staff, but now... what do we do? I wish I could say I had hope, but...”

He trails off, leaving the unbearable silence hanging in the air.

It's not that well made.. I didn't work on it too much after all. But, I think it's quite good.
