A new year at Richford University had begun for Aemond who had to, once again, pull his older brother Aegon out of the abyss. This vicious circle fed his hatred and anger over the years where he wanted more and more to take his place in the succession of the family business.

He considered himself more deserving than him to be the official successor of their father Viserys. Having worked hard since childhood to be the best in many fields, he had even done everything to study all the mechanisms of the company.

And yet, nothing worked. Aegon was always the chosen one and there was nothing he could do about it. He tried to help him out and reason with him that he had to change his attitude and stop destroying himself, but it was all in vain.

Feeling like he was trapped in a reality where he would never be recognized for his true worth, Aemond was unaware that life might be giving him a small chance when he found himself crossing paths more often with his sister Helaena's best friend.
