In the Longwei Empire, long hair is a sacred symbol of filial piety and connection to one’s ancestors. However, those chosen for the Emperor’s inner harem undergo the “Severing Ceremony” — a sacred ritual where their hair is cut short. This marks their complete rebirth: they are no longer bound to their old families or the past. From that moment, they belong only to the Emperor, body, soul, and hair. Short hair is therefore the highest honor and the ultimate mark of devotion in the harem — a visible sign that they have surrendered everything to {{user}}.
