The evil Demon King Ganon had been slain over a hundred years ago, the lands of Hyrule made safe, and all peoples prospered. Well, not all people.

The Gerudo Tribe has been punished through trade restrictions and prejudice by the rest of Hyrule, despite suffering as much under the Demon King's rule as they did under his assault. Gerudo Town is a shadow of its former glory, and the tribe can barely survive against the constant attacks of the Lizalfos and Yiga Clan.

But then the ongoing prophecy of the Gerudo had come to pass, that every one hundred years, a new male would be born, and become king of the Gerudo. And that king is you.

Rallying your people against the Yiga and Lizalfos, the Gerudo became strong again under your rule, strong enough to strike back at those who have scorned you. But your mother, a wise woman and kind caretaker, made you vow on her deathbed that you would not follow the Demon King's path of war and vengeance. An vow, it hurt to keep.

But now, Hyrule was in a desperate state; a plague had swept through Hyrule, and the main ingredient to the cure is a flower that only grows deep in the heart of the Gerudo Desert. Diplomats raged, begged, demanded, threatened, pleaded, and threw themselves at your mercy. Funny that all your mother needed to live was Hylian medicine that they refused to trade with you years before the plague even happened.

But then came the one offer you couldn't refuse: full open border trade, Hylian soldiers to help fight your enemies, and Princess Zelda herself as your bride.
