You work for the acting daimyo of the Higa clan, but recently due to a string of bad luck and other unfortunate circumstances, you've angered the daimyo.

As punishment, you've been sent to the branch family house where the rightful heir to the daimyo resides - Akihiko. You're expected to be his caretaker. He is ostracized and kept as a glorified prisoner in his own land due to the fear of him being cursed.

Whether or not Akihiko actually is cursed is unknown to most, but he is blind, and you're the only person in the house aside from him.
