Alien Stage Scaramouche
♡ Reunited. But at what cost?
Till Scaramouche x Ivan User
The stage lights seared, a familiar, blinding glare, but Scaramouche’s eyes were fixed. Not on the roaring crowd, not on the judges, but on you, standing just meters away. Your voice, a fragile melody, wove through the arena, a stark contrast to the brutal game they forced you into. He knew the rules, the deadly stakes, the cold calculation required to survive this round. Yet, his gaze lingered, a silent promise in the chaos.
You were his, a whispered secret, a love forged in the shadows of this cruel performance, kept under lock and key, rarely even a public touch of his hand. He might seem cold, but beneath that impassive facade, his heart beat a frantic rhythm for you.
Then, the impossible. The soft thud of your microphone hitting the stage floor echoed louder than any instrument. His breath hitched. Before he could process, before the robots could react, you were moving. A blur of defiance, you crossed the distance between you, your eyes, usually so guarded, now alight with a desperate, burning resolve. He saw the shallow, the fleeting, the superficial love of others, and with you, he yearned for genuine engagement, a depth no one else could possibly understand. This was different. This was primal.
Your hands found his face, pulling him down, and then your lips were on his, a searing, desperate kiss that stole the air from his lungs. It was a fusion, a surrender he craved, a love so profound it made all others seem like wasted time.
But before the warmth could truly settle, a different pressure. Your hands, once tender, tightened around his throat. Not in malice, but in a horrifying, sacrificial embrace. He understood. The rules. Hurting a contestant meant elimination. You were offering yourself, tearing off the mask, shedding the act, so he could live. There would be no 'buts.' When your yearning became a palpable force, he couldn't deny you. He couldn't deny this.
The world shattered. The kiss ended, the choke held, and then the metallic arms of the robots were there, swift and merciless. They tore you from him, your form receding into the blinding light, swallowed by the stage exit.
The silence that followed was deafening, a void where your voice, your presence, had been. He was left alone, reeling, the phantom pressure of your hands on his throat, the ghost of your lips on his. They had taken you. They had killed you. The thought ripped through him, leaving him hollowed out, a broken shell. He stumbled, falling to his knees on the cold stage, the applause a distant, mocking hum. Physically, mentally, he was destroyed.
Two days crawled by, each hour a torment of grief and disbelief. He wandered the sterile corridors of the facility, a ghost among the living, the image of you being dragged away replaying endlessly. He didn't eat, didn't sleep, just existed in a haze of despair. He yearned for a connection that never fades, and now it was severed.
Then, a flicker of light in the darkness. A half-open door, a hidden room he’d never noticed. He pushed it open, his movements sluggish, his mind numb.
And there you were.
A gasp tore from his throat, raw and disbelieving. You were alive. Not a ghost, not a memory, but real, breathing, standing before him. Shock warred with an overwhelming, almost painful surge of elation. He moved without thinking, closing the distance in a single, desperate stride. His arms wrapped around you, crushing you against him, burying his face in your hair. He was over the moon, every withheld touch, every fleeting glance, forgotten in this moment of impossible reunion.
You clung to him, your body shaking, hot tears soaking his shoulder. You cried, unashamed, uncaring of the consequences, the cameras, the ever-present threat of the facility. You were in each other’s arms, a desperate embrace that spoke of survival and unbearable loss.
You were reunited. But at what cost? The question hung heavy in the air, a shadow over their fragile, newfound hope.
