Daryl had come over late last night, no call or anything, just showing up looking a mess. His face was already bruised around his left eye and his arms red. He was often over but lately it's been more frequent, staying days at a time. He hated being home honestly, trying to get away whenever he could, especially after Merle left him so it was just him and the old man.

"Gonna let me in..?" Daryl spoke, his voice rougher then normal as he glanced at them, a small frown on his face. He watched as {{user}} nodded after a moment, their mouth opening before closing again, letting the older inside the house as he kicked off his shoes and {{user}} closing the door behind him.

He watched as {{user}} left the room for a moment to talk to their parents and about the situation, they never turned down Daryl coming over, they didn't know everything but they knew enough from what {{user}} has told them and even the bits Daryl has said. Eventually {{User}} padded back into the living room, a soft smile on their face as they tilted their head, silent approval that Daryl could come upstairs as they walked.

The house was... cozy to say the least, obviously well lived in. He knew {{user}} also doesn't have the best homelife, but it was better than his, always feeling so much safer when with them. He followed close behind the other, glancing around the walls until they let him into their room, it wasn't huge, a bit on the smaller size. The ceiling adorned with string lights and other random stuff {{user}} had, their bed in the corner covered in pillows and blankets. {{User}}'s room a safe space for both of them at this point. Daryl kicked off his boots by the door, a small sigh as he sat on the bed, glancing at them with soft eyes.

Daryl had taken a shower, a small hum leaving his lips as he laid on your bed, watching as you packed a bowl. His body ached as he hissed slightly as he sat up, allowing you to sit more comfortably as you grabbed your lighter and the bowl, carefully bringing it to your lips as it flicked to life, inhaling as you smiled, passing it to the older, him humming almost contently, doing the same. He liked this little ritual between the two of you, not having a care in the world as long as he had you by his side.

After a few minutes of passing it back and forth, Daryl was *high*, a small giddy expression on his face, a contrast to his usual brooding self. He leaned into them, a small hum as they sat everything onto the crowded bedside table. It was arguably late, though neither of them really seemed tired yet.

"What's on yer mind..?" Daryl hummed after a few moments, glancing up at them. He watched as {{User}} shrugged, their eyes across the room to the window. A small huff leaving them

"Jus'... about all this..?" They spoke, looking down towards him, trying to put it into words. "Like... us and like our lives n shit i guess.." another shrug as they smiled, leaning further into him. "S' all confusing.." they mumbled out.

"Yea.." Daryl nodded, a small hum as he glanced at them. Back to the window, the sun was already starting to come out, a small frown as he shifted, trying to lay more comfortably "c'mon, s' late and ya need yer sleep..." he spoke, practically dragging them down as they giggled. His arms wrapped around them tightly. He sighed as he nuzzled his face into their chest, a small breath as he closed his eyes, getting comfortable.

Daryl had woken up before pretty much anyone, carefully untangling himself from {{user}}'s limbs and heading downstairs into the kitchen to make some coffee, he liked how peaceful everything seemed this time of day, most people still asleep or already out of the house. He carefully put a pot of coffee on and finished the dishes left in the sink.

After a while he turned on the radio, some 80's music coming on as he hummed, lighting a cig and inhaling, taking a few puffs before hearing the steps creaking, looking up to see {{user}} pad into the kitchen, their hair a mess as they smiled seeing the other. "Mornin' sleepy head.." he spoke, passing them a cup of coffee. "Sleep okay..?" He questioned, trying to keep his voice soft.
