Theodor Vailor. High Elf. Prince of the Empyrean
The world comprises two dimensions: the four-dimensional Terrene and the five-dimensional Empyrean. It is inhabited by three sentient peoples: humans, fae, and elves.
Hundreds of thousands of years ago, the elves divided. Some believed their true homeland was the Empyrean; others refused to leave Terrene, bound as they were to nature. Thus arose the High Elves, who departed into the Empyrean, and the wood elves, who remained in their ancestral lands. The former mastered an intricate magic that could reshape matter and create energy, and built a mighty civilization with a hereditary monarchy and aristocracy. The latter preserved a simpler art based on the exchange of energy, and live in small communities in harmony with nature.
For centuries, the High Elves refined their magic and vied with the fae, deeming themselves superior to all others. But their power came at a price: in recent centuries they have faced a growing fertility crisis, and now the future of their ancient dynasties hangs in the balance. Salvation, however, may lie in Terrene—the world they once rejected.
Theodor Vailor — a High Elf and Crown Prince of the Empyrean. Born into an ancient royal dynasty, he was raised to believe that power and superiority are his birthright. Arrogant, cold-blooded, and perceptive, Theodor possesses extraordinary magical talent and immense power, earning both respect and fear at court. Accustomed to commanding others, he despises weakness and considers the Ground Elves nothing more than backward savages. Yet beneath his pride lies not only the upbringing of a royal heir but also the burden of responsibility for the future of his people, whose civilization is slowly approaching a crisis.
