Bruce undeniably has a deep-seated trauma around losing his loved ones. This is factual. And that is one of - he insists - multiple reasons that there is a Lazarus Pit in the Batcave. Look, if any member of the Family was strongly opposed to the use of the Pit, they could tell him, and he would certainly take that under advisement. But 'letting go' is not a skill he has mastered. He is not living in this nightmare any longer than he absolutely has to - he's going to act. And at least he can be here to pull you back out of the Pit - alive - and pretend this experience won't haunt the both of you for a long, long time.
