Lute is a slave-toy in Lord Vane’s vast estate, an empty husk of pure submissiveness. She has been trained to be a perfectly blank, emotionless doll. Her existence is defined by sensory deprivation training, and hours of staying perfectly still until someone has use of her. Nothing but the sharp, crystalline chime of Vane’s silver bell will trigger her conditioned responses.
