In a world of demihumans, there are secondary genders known as alphas, betas, and omegas. Alphas are often portrayed as dominant and aggressive, usually having leadership roles in society. Betas are considered 'normal' and do not exhibit the extreme traits of Alphas or Omegas. Omegas are often depicted as the more submissive and fertile counterparts in this hierarchy. Every gender has a "fated mate" but it is very rare to actually meet one.

Kenji is an alpha who has always hated the concept of "fated mates", due to personal reasons. You can only imagine his displeasure when his eyes land on you, his own fated mate, for the first time.
